Dear LOINS Community,

As we open this edition of our newsletter, we look back at a busy and beautiful season filled with learning, laughter, and growth. Each event, project, and classroom moment tells a story of learners who are discovering their strengths and teachers who believe deeply in their potential.

At LOINS, we don’t aim to solve problems for our learners, we aim to teach them how to solve them. We want them to try, to stumble, and to try again, because mistakes are not failures, they are powerful lessons. Every challenge is an opportunity to think, to grow, and to learn something new about themselves.

We continue to raise the bar, not by setting impossible goals but by encouraging every learner to stretch just a little higher, to reach a level that challenges them yet feels within their grasp.

Guided by our school values of respect, responsibility, perseverance, and integrity, we strive to build not only knowledgeable learners but kind and compassionate individuals who carry these values into everything they do.

Like a young tree growing toward the sunlight, our students are learning that effort, courage, and curiosity are what help them rise. And as a school, we couldn’t be prouder of the journey they’re on.

Last academic year, we introduced our house system to enrich students’ experiences and strengthen our sense of community.

This year, we are excited to continue building on that foundation. Our school remains organized into four dynamic houses: Forest, Desert, Mountain, and Ocean. 

We are thrilled to let you know that all new students have been added to the existing houses, joining a structure that brings together learners from different grade levels, encourages lasting friendships, and promotes school spirit. 

To foster stronger family ties,  we made sure we group siblings in the same houses, fostering shared values and mutual support. Throughout the year, each house will participate in various in-house competitions, providing opportunities for teamwork and talent showcase.

Homework Done! Creativity Unlocked! Worries Gone!

We are excited to announce the launch of our new After School Care Program this academic year. The program consists of several 7-week cycles, thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, structured, and enriching environment for learners beyond regular school hours.

Open to students from KG to Grade 7, the program is led by our dedicated teaching team, ensuring that the same quality, values, and instructional approach extend seamlessly into after-school time.

The program offers a balanced blend of academic support and skill development, including:

• Academic Support: Homework completion, project support, assessment preparation, Qur’an recitation and revision, and reinforcement of core literacy and numeracy skills.

• Skill Development: Opportunities to enhance communication, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and social-emotional growth through varied activities and projects.

Cycle 1 kicked off this semester on August 31, 2025. Each 7-week cycle concludes with a special celebration, where learners proudly showcase their progress and projects.

Following the success of Cycle 1, we are pleased to share that registration for Cycle 2 is now open! Cycle 2 began on October 26, parents are kindly invited to complete the registration form as soon as possible. Please note that parents who have already registered for all four cycles are automatically enrolled and do not need to reapply.

We look forward to continuing this wonderful journey of learning, creativity, and growth with our learners.

We are pleased to inform you that we have signed a cooperation agreement with Laftah Family Counseling Center, a collaboration dedicated to enhancing the psychological and educational well-being of our students while supporting parents and staff in nurturing a healthy learning environment.

Together, we will be organizing a series of awareness and development workshops throughout the academic year, focusing on life skills, emotional resilience, and family communication. Workshops will cover vital topics such as self-protection, collaboration, goal setting, digital balance, and academic support, catering to students across all stages and their parents.

To ensure a safe and smooth dismissal for all students, we kindly remind you to follow the school’s Dismissal and Parking Guidelines, previously shared on Edunation. You may view them directly on Edunation or click HERE to access them.

EduPick requests for KG students will be processed starting at 1:35 PM, and for Elementary, Middle, and High School students at 2:10 PM. Please submit your EduPick request only after arriving at the school parking lot, and ensure your child knows who will be picking them up. 

Please use designated parking spaces, avoid stopping in the middle of the lot, and drive cautiously, giving priority to children and families crossing. Security guards are present to maintain safety and order; however, they are not authorized to send messages or call students or parents. 

Please be informed that EduPick remains the only official channel for pickup requests. Students will only be released through EduPick or to a parent/nanny presenting the official dismissal card. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organized dismissal process for everyone. 

Kutubee is our official platform for interactive reading, where students can explore a rich digital library of audio and visual books in Arabic, English, and French. We are delighted to inform you that our school is now officially registered on Madares Platform, the official system launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to support and connect schools and parents.

We are currently in the process of adding our KG and Grade 1 students and their parents to the platform by uploading their information. Once this step is completed, you will receive a notification asking you to log into the Madares Platform and confirm the registration request.

Back in August, we shared the following consent form asking for your permission to take photos and videos of your children during classes, extracurricular activities, school events, and trips. These may be used in our school newsletter, social media platforms, website, and other official publications.

We have received many responses already, but if you have not had a chance to fill out the form yet, please take a few moments to do so now.

We are pleased to inform you that our school nurse conducted a Hygiene Awareness Session at the beginning of the semester for all students to promote healthy habits and personal cleanliness.

The Annual Medical Checkups have also been successfully completed for all students. Each parent should have received a medical report via Edunation, which includes the check-up results such as height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), health tips, and vision recommendations if needed. Please note that regular hair and nail hygiene checks will continue throughout the year to support students’ well-being.

We would like to remind all parents that extra sportswear uniforms can be purchased online. Our canteen offers a variety of healthy and balanced meal options for students from Grades 1 to 12. The menu features meals rich in nutritional value, including protein, vitamins, calcium, and carbohydrates to support students’ growth and overall well-being.

We’re also excited to share that our school yard now features a dedicated football pitch, giving students a fun new space to play, practice, and enjoy the game during breaks and activities!

We are happy to share that new cooling misting systems have been installed in our outdoor courtyards. These systems help create a more comfortable environment for students during outdoor activities, ensuring they can enjoy recess, PE classes, and other outdoor activities even on warmer days.

We are thrilled to share that our PE Department has upgraded all equipment to support a versatile and high-quality curriculum. These new resources will help students develop and enhance their athletic skills across a wide range of sports.

Our upgraded facilities now include equipment for Football, Volleyball, Handball, and Badminton, along with fitness tools, gymnastics gear, dodgeballs, cones and stomps, frisbees, football coaching and scoreboards, match jerseys, gold medals, and even a new speaker for events and classes.

We look forward to seeing our students enjoy and make the most of these enhanced resources! 

As part of our school’s vision to enhance students’ skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM), the STEAM Lab has been organized and activated to provide a creative and inspiring learning environment.

The lab is equipped with a wide range of educational kits and materials that enable students to design and implement hands-on scientific and engineering projects. It also showcases outstanding student projects that combine theoretical understanding with practical innovation, such as the Smart Bridge that Responds to Floods, sustainable energy models, and environmental protection initiatives. 

The STEAM Lab aims to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning, aligning with the school’s mission to empower creative learners capable of applying science to serve the community and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Big changes are on the way in our library. We’re preparing to introduce Accessit, a modern library system that will make it easier to search, borrow, and explore books. Students, staff, and parents will soon be able to browse our collection online and discover new reads with just a few clicks. Stay tuned for the big reveal soon!  

We are pleased to announce that the LOINS Boys' Section signboard has been installed to welcome students in Grades 7, 8, and 9. We are also happy to share that our school has received the official licensing approval, allowing us to open registration for the upcoming school year 2026-2027.

Orientation days for Kindergarten (KG) students began a week before the official start date, giving our young learners extra time to adjust smoothly to their new school environment and routines.

The year kicked off with warm Meet and Greet days, each dedicated to a specific level. The program began with KG0 and KG1, followed by KG2, and concluded with KG3. During these sessions, learners explored their new classrooms with their parents, met their teachers, and started building connections within their learning community. Together, they created a special craft to take home, a keepsake marking the exciting start of the year.

Throughout week 0, students spent a few hours each day at school, gently settling into routines and becoming comfortable in their new surroundings. It was a wonderfully stimulating week, full of smiles, new friendships, and the beginning of many meaningful learning journeys ahead!

The excitement continued into the first official school day, which was extra special. Students were greeted with a lively carnival, complete with fun games and engaging activities that introduced them to our signature “play and learn” approach. The day was filled with smiles, energy, and the promise of an incredible year ahead.

Orientation Week for Elementary Students marked a wonderful start to the school year! Young learners, parents, and teachers came together to build connections and prepare for an exciting year ahead.

The week began with a parent orientation session, where families gained valuable insights into the school’s systems and expectations. Learners took part in engaging activities and fun icebreakers that helped them get to know their classmates and teachers.

It was a joyful week filled with smiles, teamwork, and enthusiasm for the learning journey ahead! 

The Middle and High School Department warmly welcomed all students on the first day of the new academic year! The year kicked off in the courtyard with introductions to teachers and school team, followed by interactive activities to help students get to know each other and feel at ease.

In classrooms, students engaged in creative exercises and set classroom agreements, fostering teamwork, curiosity, and a sense of community. The program included icebreaker games, school tours, fun competitions, and motivational sessions, all designed to boost confidence, ease first-day jitters, and inspire a positive and exciting start to the year.

From teamwork to fun activities, the day celebrated connection, creativity, and school spirit, setting the tone for a memorable.

LOINS Parents’ Orientation Day provided an inspiring opportunity for families to connect with teachers and gain a clear understanding of their children’s learning journey. Held on Monday, September 1, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, the sessions welcomed parents into classrooms, where teachers introduced themselves and shared key insights about the school system, curriculum, textbooks, and learning resources.

Interactive Q&A sessions allowed parents to ask questions and receive guidance on all aspects of their child’s education. By the end of the orientation, parents left feeling informed, confident, and fully prepared to support their children, fostering a strong partnership between home and school for the year ahead.

Our 1st Parent–Teacher Conference, held on Saturday, September 27, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, provided a wonderful opportunity for parents and teachers to connect and discuss each child’s learning journey. The event ran smoothly, creating a warm and collaborative atmosphere throughout the day.

The meetings offered a meaningful chance to celebrate students’ strengths and identify areas for growth, which we will continue to focus on in preparation for the upcoming assessments. Parents also shared valuable feedback that will help us further support our learners’ progress and ensure their continued success.

We sincerely appreciate the positive feedback and satisfaction expressed by our parents, particularly their kind recognition of our teachers’ support, care, and dedication. Your partnership remains a vital part of our learners’ ongoing success!

As part of our school’s preparations for the upcoming academic year, a GAT (Quantitative & Verbal Sections) Training Workshop was held for high school students. Organized by the Middle and High School Department, the workshop was conducted one week prior to the official start of the school year, from August 17 to 21.

The workshop aimed to prepare students for the General Aptitude Test (GAT), known as Qudrat, administered by the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas) by introducing them to proven strategies, efficient problem-solving techniques, and effective time-management skills. Enriched with engaging activities and insightful visual presentations, the workshop helped sharpen their analytical and reasoning abilities, strengthen their self-confidence, and enhance their readiness to achieve outstanding results.

We are delighted to share that our students (KG3 to Grade 12) successfully completed the first MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Test in September. This adaptive test measures growth in Math and English, adjusting question difficulty to match each student’s level and giving teachers an accurate view of their knowledge and skills.

The MAP test takes place twice a year:

• Fall (September): placement test to determine students’ starting levels at the beginning of the academic year

• Spring (April–May): tracking and measuring students' growth and progress over the academic year 

The results provide teachers with insight into each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, helping them tailor instruction to individual needs and support ongoing academic development.

We are pleased to announce that, as of the current academic year (2025–2026), our school is officially offering the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) exams. 

The DELF is an internationally recognized certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to assess French language proficiency. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to gain valuable credentials that reflect their hard work and language development.

Green outfits, Saudi flags, national songs, and traditional treats... Saudi National Day 2025 at LOINS was a celebration of identity, dignity, pride, and culture! 

On Monday, 22nd September 2025, our school community joyfully celebrated Saudi National Day, embracing the country’s rich heritage and achievements. Students, teachers, and staff participated in a vibrant program designed to instill pride in our national identity and showcase our learners’ talents.

The celebration program featured a range of engaging highlights: from recitations, patriotic poems, and national songs on stage, to theatrical performances depicting the Kingdom’s journey and accomplishments through the reigns of successive kings. Students also participated in interactive French dialogues, inspiring speeches about our beloved country, and a colorful national costume parade.

In addition to stage performances, students explored themed booths celebrating Saudi values and culture, including:

• “Our Pride in Generosity, Heritage, and Authenticity” booth, displaying traditional symbols such as coffee pots, cups, dates, and traditional decor, with a corner for students to share reflections on generosity and heritage.

• “Our Pride in Ambition, Vision, and Unity” booth, highlighting Saudi Vision 2030 through student art, motivational messages, and hands-on creative workshops.

• Sports booth, offering interactive activities that encouraged teamwork and participation.

The celebration also included the spirited “March of the Nation”, where students proudly carried flags across the school grounds, making the day both educational and enjoyable.

This Teachers’ Day, everyone came together to celebrate all teachers and staff. Students delighted their teachers with handmade cards, heartfelt letters, and thoughtful symbolic gifts, expressing sincere appreciation and respect. The smiles, excitement, and warm moments shared made the day a truly unforgettable celebration of the dedication and inspiration our educators bring every day.

Our school came alive with colors, creativity, and togetherness on Twinning Day, as students from KG to High School celebrated friendship and connection through matching outfits and fun costumes! The event featured a lively runway walk, complete with music, cheers, and laughter, as students proudly showcased their twinning looks , from matching shirts and colors to creative themed duos and groups.

Middle and High School students and teachers amazed everyone with their vibrant appearances inspired by The Wizard of Oz, Ninja Turtles, Red Riding Hood, Subway Surfers, Harley Quinn, Joker and Batman, Mario and Luigi, Twix chocolate bars, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hello Kitty, cowgirls, and TY-themed cute costumes, among many others!

Meanwhile, KG and Elementary students brought extra fun and imagination to the day, twinning as Disney Princesses,  Marvel Characters, Harry Potter, Demon Slayer, Sonic, Barbie, Stitch, Pokémon, pilots and police officers, and even a creative traffic light trio (“Ready, Steady, Go!”).

It was a joyful celebration that reminded everyone how we can share similarities, express creativity, and still shine in our own unique ways!

Our school buzzed with energy and excitement as all students from the four Houses gathered in the outdoor courtyards for LOINS Houses Parade Day. With cheers echoing through the campus, each House marched together in a straight line to the Green Field, proudly led by our senior students holding vibrant House banners adorned with their logos.

The event, which took place on Thursday, October 30, kicked off with an opening speech from our Principal, officially introducing the House System and setting the stage for a year full of friendly competition and teamwork. As music filled the air, students waved and cheered, wearing shirts in the colors of their House, shouting their House slogans, and sharing laughter and thrill with every step.

This exciting parade was the perfect way to launch our House competitions, fostering spirit, camaraderie, and pride among all students.

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, our school conducted a scheduled fire drill to ensure that all students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. Each grade level followed the designated evacuation routes to their assigned assembly points in an orderly and efficient manner. Teachers guided their classes calmly through the nearest exits, and all teams successfully gathered in the designated yards for attendance and safety checks. 

Our young learners in KG had a wonderful time celebrating Stuffed Animal Day! Each child brought their favorite stuffed toy and proudly shared the story behind why it was special to them.

The classroom was filled with excitement, laughter, and heartfelt moments as students listened to one another and practiced their speaking skills. It was a joyful, confidence-building experience that fostered both communication and connection.

This activity also encouraged learners to be caring and open-minded, showing genuine interest and respect for each other’s stories.

We were delighted to welcome parents, both Mommies and Daddies, of our KG students during our Once Upon a Parent Week, October 26 to 30. This special event celebrated the joy of reading together and strengthened the partnership between school and home.

Throughout the week, parents visited classrooms to share stories, lead small group storytelling sessions, or bring favorite books from home. These moments inspired our students, sparked imagination, nurtured a love of language, and gave parents a firsthand glimpse of how reading shapes their children’s educational journey. 

This activitiy was a wonderful celebration of stories, community, and shared learning.

Silly socks made everyone giggle nonstop! 

Students and staff showed off their wildest, wackiest socks, with bright colors, bold patterns, cartoon characters, and even some with bells and googly eyes. During recess, a casual sock parade unfolded as everyone strutted their silly socks down a makeshift runway like fashion stars. 

Back in the classrooms, a fun sock-themed photoshoot kept the laughter going all day. It was a joyful celebration of creativity, individuality, and a little bit of silliness.

One purple carpet, dozens of creative outfits, and zero traditional backpacks... a fabulous day to remember!

Students and teachers at LOINS ditched their uniforms and backpacks for a one-of-a-kind "Freestyle, No Backpack Day," and the results were nothing short of spectacular.

From pajamas, dresses, caps, and sweaters to iconic outfits inspired by famous characters (yes, Wednesday Addams made an appearance), even a dinosaur costume showed up. Everyone expressed their style while keeping it respectful and within school guidelines. Teachers joined the fun too, donning creative looks like housekeeping uniforms and even going full-on "mom mode" with baby carriers.

And what replaced the backpacks? Everything imaginable. Students and teachers carried their belongings in ice boxes, cereal boxes, laundry baskets, stuffed animals, cat cages, cleaning baskets, shopping bags, picnic straw baskets, luggage, toy cars, real and toy trolleys, and even bicycles. One student stole the spotlight with a classic cartoon-style "bindle," a big stick with a fabric bundle tied at the end, carried over the shoulder like a traveler from an old comic strip. The creativity was off the charts.

The highlight of the day? each class having their moment in the spotlight during a purple carpet runway show, with music, cheers, clapping, and striking poses in front of a vibrantly decorated backdrop. This twist on the classic red carpet made the moment unforgettable.

It was a fun-filled, joyful day that celebrated self-expression, imagination, and school spirit, the LOINS way.

To promote a culture of giving and community service, a Volunteering Session was led by Mr. Khaled Al-Masoud, consultant in Quality, Governance, and Business Development and member of the Berwin Volunteering Team, who spoke about “The Impact of Volunteering on Volunteers, Community, and Organization." The session was organized by the Middle & High School Department on Sunday, September 8, held in the school theater, attended by 50 students.

The session aimed to ignite students’ passion for volunteerism, introduce them to the National Volunteering Platform, and highlight opportunities to make a positive impact both within the school and beyond.

It also explored how volunteering benefits individuals, communities, and organizations, while fostering initiative, responsibility, teamwork, and effective communication skills, providing students with practical experiences that support their personal growth and future development.

From vibrant booths and delicious treats to heartfelt generosity, LOINS Charity Day brought our community together for a cause that matters and a celebration of giving back.

On September 4, 2025, LOINS celebrated International Charity Day, fondly known as our Bake Sale, organized by Middle and High School students and staff. The campus buzzed with colorful booths offering homemade treats, handcrafts, and creative goods at nominal prices, all supporting a meaningful cause.

Together, our community raised SAR 5,500, donated to Ehsan, which is one of the official Saudi national charity platforms supporting education, healthcare, and family welfare, to fund the "Educational Sponsorship for Underprivileged Students project". 

The Charity Day supported families in need, funded educational opportunities, fostered teamwork and generosity, engaged students and parents in community service, and celebrated the creativity and innovation of our young participants.

Heartfelt thanks to all students, families, and staff whose efforts made this day possible. This memorable day was more than a fundraising event; it was a celebration of kindness and a heartwarming reminder that every contribution, big or small, can spark lasting change.

Our Middle and High School students shone with confidence during the much-anticipated LOINS Talent Show, which took place on Tuesday, October 28. 

The school theater burst with music, rhythm, and creativity as our talented participants showcased their remarkable skills through beautiful singing, live music, harmonized dances, and engaging performances inspired by popular trends.

The audience, proud teachers, classmates, and mothers, cheered and applauded as each participant truly owned the stage, leaving everyone amazed and inspired.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our incredible performers for their passion and energy, and to the Middle and High School Department for organizing this vibrant celebration of student talent and self-expression.

Our teachers and Grade 12 students participated in the insightful Breast Cancer Awareness Session, aimed at educating participants about breast cancer symptoms, promoting early detection, and instilling lifelong health values and well-being.

Held on Thursday, October 30, and organized by the Middle and High School Department, the session encouraged participants to become advocates for awareness, reinforcing the message that knowledge and vigilance are essential in the fight against breast cancer. 

Our School is pleased to announce that the Qur’an Memorization Competition (Tāj al-Wiqār) is currently underway for all students. This competition encourages students to honor the Holy Qur’an through memorization and proper recitation.

For the Elementary Department, the competition began in Week 7, October 5th, 2025, with Arabic and Islamic Studies teachers guiding students in their memorization. For further details, please check Edunation or click HERE. 

For Middle and High school students, the competition was announced during the morning assembly and on Edunation, with recitation evaluations taking place every Tuesday.

We are pleased to announce the Arabic Dictation Champion Competition for middle school students. This competition aims to strengthen students’ Arabic writing skills, promote accurate spelling and proper dictation, and deepen their appreciation for the Arabic language. Participants will practice essential spelling rules while developing precision, confidence, and clarity in written expression. Our Students Shine in the Project Screening Stage of “Ibda’a 2026”! Three of our students proudly represented our school in the Project Screening Stage of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibda’a 2026), which is one of the programs organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).

The event took place on Monday and Tuesday, October 20–21, 2025, at the General Directorate of Education Theater in Riyadh, in the presence of the Assistant Director-General for Educational Affairs and a number of supervisors and coordinators.

Following their outstanding performance, the General Directorate of Education in Riyadh nominated Yara Al-Mutairi and Farah Al-Arifi to participate in the Riyadh Ibda’a 2026 Exhibition, which will be held at the Conference Center of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University from Monday, October 27, 2025, to Thursday, October 30, 2025.

We are proud of our talented students and their active participation in this national program, which fosters innovation, creativity, and scientific research. We wish them continued success and excellence in the upcoming stages.

We are happy to share that Phase 1 of the LOINS Varsity Team Selection Process was successfully completed, with our student-athletes showcasing their skills during the Swimming and Football Tryouts, held on Wednesday and Thursday, October 15-16. Swimming Tryouts were open to students from Grade 3 and above, while Football Tryouts targeted students in Grades 6–9.

We sincerely thank all participants for their determination, teamwork, and school spirit, and we look forward to the next phase of selections as our athletes continue their journey to represent LOINS with pride!

What a match! Our Middle and High School students faced off against our teachers in a thrilling volleyball challenge, expertly supervised by the PE team. Congratulations to our teachers on their win with a final score of 15–13! A big thank you to all participants for bringing energy, teamwork, and school spirit to the game. 

We are thrilled to share that our school Director, Ms. Hiba Abu Alfa, participated as a panelist at the EduTech Summit KSA, held on 4–5 October at the Radisson Blu Riyadh. 

The panel, titled “Pioneering Disruption in Education: Inspiring Meaningful Progress,” explored how non-traditional approaches, such as flipped classrooms, microlearning, and hybrid models, are reshaping the educational experience.

During the discussion, Ms. Abu Alfa joined fellow education leaders to highlight the importance of experimentation, adaptability, and a growth mindset in preparing students for the future of learning. Her insights emphasized innovation and forward-thinking strategies that inspire meaningful progress across the education sector.

On September 18, 2025, LOINS Science, Math, and Design Departments attended the 3rd Annual Saudi STEM Education Conference organized by IBE Forum at the InterContinental Riyadh. The conference brought together educators, policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders to discuss advancements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

The event focused on key themes such as artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in learning, curriculum innovation, workforce readiness, and collaboration between government and industry. It also aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, emphasizing the importance of STEM education in preparing students for a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy.

This participation provided valuable professional development opportunities for our departments. Attendees gained insights into global best practices, took part in specialized workshops, and connected with experts dedicated to transforming education in the Kingdom.

On September 24–25, 2025, our LOINS English Department attended the Education Experts Saudi Arabia Conference, held at Riyadh School, Hittin Campus. As part of the conference, they participated in a workshop on The Importance of Vocabulary in Literacy, which highlighted the crucial role of vocabulary skills in reading comprehension, writing development, and overall academic success.

The session emphasized creating a language-rich environment that supports students in using and retaining new vocabulary, ultimately strengthening their literacy skills. It also introduced practical strategies, including integrating vocabulary instruction across subjects, encouraging word awareness through interactive activities, and providing repeated exposure to new words in meaningful contexts.

LOINS PYP Coordinator and KG Head of Department, Ms. Hiba Al-Assad, has recently attended the Arab Child Summit in Dubai, an inspiring event that highlighted the profound role of culture in shaping who we are and who our children will become.

The summit was a powerful reminder that nurturing our culture and language begins at home; through the values we model, the stories we share, and the language we speak with our children every day, she highlighted. She also shared how the phrase “Our value system is a super power!” truly resonated with her, emphasizing that the strength of our future leaders lies in embracing and celebrating their cultural identity, and that it is our responsibility to nurture it, she explained.
