The Roaring Lion Band & Color Guard is made up of students from all concerts bands. The Roaring Lion Band has a long history of great traditions, pride, and excellence. The marching band performs at all Lockhart High School pep rallies, football games, and at marching band contests and exhibitions.Â
The Roaring Lion Band consistently achieves 1st Division ratings at the Texas UIL Marching Band Competition, has advanced to the Area the past seven opportunities.

Roaring Lion Band and Color Guard Success
On Saturday, September 28th, the Roaring Lion Band and Color Guard participated in the Bands of America Central Texas Regional at Texas State University. This contest was host to some of the best bands in Texas. The Roaring Lion Band finished 2nd in class in prelims and advanced to finals, where they finished 9th overall!
For the first time in school history the Roaring Lion Band and Color Guard made finals at a Bands of America contest! This is a HUGE accomplishment for our students. If you see them in the halls today please give them a big congratulations!
