Gift policy

• The PCE Library will accept gifts of materials that complement existing collections, or develop collections of specific interest provided no restrictions are attached to their use, location, or disposition.

• All gifts become the property of the school district.

• Gifts must meet the same criteria as materials selected for purchase.

• Gifts of unauthorized copies of videos, illegally copied materials and/or pirated computer software will not be accepted.

• Gifts will not be given a monetary value by the Library Media Center staff. Instead, a donation letter listing the items and quantity received will be given to the donor upon request. Absolutely no dollar value will be listed.

• Donors are encouraged to suggest titles, subjects or special collections with a monetary gift; however, the PCE Library has final authority of selection.

• Business and commercial monetary donations will follow the same donation criteria listed with the distributing company name placed within the inside cover of the selection.
