Worship Team|Intro
Creating opportunities for people to be with Jesus through musicÂ
Welcome to the heart of our church’s sound! 🎶 As part of our Worship Team, you have the incredible opportunity to help lead people into a moment where they encounter God in a powerful, personal way. Our mission is simple: help everyday people become Jesus followers. And when it comes to music, we want to create an experience that goes beyond just songs. We’re aiming for something that transcends—music that stirs hearts, lifts spirits, and connects people to God in a real way.Â
This page will walk you through our values and help you understand what it means to be part of a team that is committed to creating an atmosphere where people leave different than they came. Let’s make every note count and lead people to a deeper place with Jesus! 🙌
HumilityÂ
Excellence
Fun (Choose Joy)
Come Prepared (Practice during the week and on time)
Smile Big and Celebrate God (Even when not singing)
Create meaningful moments
Point people to Jesus
A Great Worship Environment is…
COMFORTABLE
A diverse group of people on the teamÂ
Worship expectation is clear (Lyrics on the screen, feel free to sing, lift a hand, or stand in worship)
Stage is uncluttered and open
CLEAN
The stage is clean and not cluttered with unnecessary items (Backpacks, unused music stands, coffee cups, etc…)
All volunteers scan the stage to make sure nothing will distract people from worshiping God
CLEAR
Be prepared! Know each transition well.
Explain each transition like it is someone’s first time ever at church (“You might see people lift up hands as an act of surrender,” “Facetime is a opportunity to meet someone you didn’t go to church with, “Sing with us by following along with the lyrics on the screen”)
Minimize distractions by dressing appropriately on stage. We can communicate excellence and care for those we lead by the clothing choices we make on stage. That's why we dress modestly and avoid graphic t-shirts with controversial messages.
The WORSHIP team is…
COMMITTED
They are consistent with attendance
They arrive prepared to serve
CONTAGIOUS
Volunteers communicate joy and celebration to worship God
During slow songs, the team communicates passion and contemplation by worshipping God even if not leading the song
Smile big
Dressed wellÂ
Volunteers are fun and playfulÂ
CONCIERGES
Sensitive to the Holy SpiritÂ
Willing to pray when the Holy Spirit is leading them
Aware that people in the attendance may have never sung to God before, being a good host
