Growth Mindset Series - During the four badge series teachers will gain an understanding of where mindsets come from and how to change mindsets. Class participants will be expected to collaborate with the cohort created around interactive assignments and book studies. They will have various assignments aimed at assessing the mindsets of the students and implementing a change toward a growth mindset within their class. Additionally all badges will include projects and assignments designed to provide demonstration of mastery in a real world setting.

Growth Mindset Badge # 1 - This will be a book study of the book, “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success” by Carol S. Dweck, PhD. The purpose of this course is to give teachers an overview of what Dr. Dweck terms a growth mindset. This will be an entry-level course with a focus on the basics of Growth Mindset.
Growth Mindset Badge # 2 - This will be a book study of the book, “The Growth Mindset Coach: A Teacher's Month-by-Month Handbook for Empowering Students to Achieve” by Annie Brock & Heather Hundley. The purpose of this course is to provide teachers with the tools needed for unleashing their students' potential through creative lessons, empowering messages and innovative teaching.
Growth Mindset Badge # 3 - This will be a continuation of the book study of the book, “The Growth Mindset Coach: A Teacher's Month-by-Month Handbook for Empowering Students to Achieve” by Annie Brock & Heather Hundley. The purpose of this course is to provide teachers with the tools needed for unleashing their students' potential through creative lessons, empowering messages and innovative teaching.
Growth Mindset Badge # 4 - This course will focus on applying the concepts of growth mindset to the classroom and school. Teachers will be asked to integrate concepts into their classes both in their own practice and to help foster growth mindset in students. Working to facilitate growth mindset across the school is also a large component of the course. Presenting to staff will be a portion of the course.
