Much of what we learn at school is curriculum based. Transferable skills are the strategies we've learned to use with a variety of different people in a range of different situations.
There is no 'teamwork' class - or 'collaboration' period. Instead, regular people engage in activities on a daily basis that require a certain set of skills in order to be successful.
