School Counseling - Capstone Project

The Capstone Project is the concluding phase of Littleton High School’s Career Pathway model initiated to better prepare you, the student, to meet the needs of employers, technical schools, colleges, or universities in your post-secondary endeavors. This initiative provides you with a Capstone Project to showcase the skills you have acquired during your education in our district. It combines both academic and career requirements intended to challenge your ability, stretch your limitations, and celebrate your individuality. This half credit graduation requirement will also satisfy the second portion of the ICT/Computer Requirement.

There are two different types of projects to choose from:
College and Career Ready & Honors.

Honors

A successful Capstone Project journey involves parental, community, and mentor/advisor support as well as student initiative and self-discipline. To be successful, you must successfully complete each component of your project. Furthermore, this experience cannot rely solely upon what you already know, but must demonstrate an aspect of new learning and growth—a learning stretch.

As you proceed throughout the project, you will be informed of specific deadlines and requirements, and time will be provided weekly during Flex to meet with your Capstone Advisor and/or your mentor for direction and to ask questions.

The faculty and staff of Littleton High School are excited to support you, as you journey through this unique and beneficial learning process. As you take on your capstone project, know that this is a meaningful first step toward life beyond high school.
