Midterms end next week. When the progress reports go out the following week it will show the students' progress. Students meet once a week and with so few assignments being submitted at this point, not turning in one assignment can really bring the grade down. Again, this is just a progress update. In my class, students can submit an assignment after we move on to the next lesson, I just ask that the student email me with their section day reminding me that he/she just submitted an assignment so I can grade it. Not all sections are at the same place due to the school year starting in the middle of the week, various holidays, half days and MAP testing, some sections are further ahead than others.
6th grade- Everyone completed the Gmail introduction lesson. Most have submitted the Google Doc Formatting Vacation Journal lesson. Next week we will start the Online Safety Unit.
7th grade- Our first lesson was Binary Numbers. Most everyone should have finished Credible vs Non-credible sources. Some sections have started the Baseball Spreadsheet lesson.
8th grade- A spreadsheet/graphing keyboarding assignment started the year off. We are finishing up the MCAS Tool Guide Informational Google Slideshow. One of the elements for this was to design a title card using Photopea (A free online Photoshop program). Everyone should have submitted this. Most are almost finished with building the presentation.
