LMS Drama
Shrek Jr.
January 23-25, 2026
Dear Parents of LMS Students,
My name is Tracey O’Neill and I am the Director of Drama at Littleton Middle School. Mrs Ashley Sheldon will be our musical director.
LMS Drama will be presenting Shrek Jr in January of 2026 at Littleton High School.
If your child is interested in possibly participating in the production, please complete the attached Google Form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdRgGy8iNWQ7XQRlOimGZDzIDsEo1bB6dkvlclRcyr4U_ce_A/viewform?usp=sharing
This will help me see the interest level and plan auditions. Everyone who auditions gets a role in the show.
Based on responses, students will receive an invite to the Google Classroom “Shrek Jr Cast”. The Google Classroom will include audition information, a rehearsal schedule (Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays(including ½ days until 2:45) and Thursdays, after school until 4:45 PM), character descriptions, music to practice as well as lines for the auditions based on what part(s) the students are interested in. There will also be 3 other forms that will need to be completed and submitted prior to auditions.
Auditions will occur over a 4 day period with students needing to attend 2 days. Auditions will be singing, dancing and reading lines. This will be the week of September 22. Information can be found in the Google Forms that will be available in their GC.
There will also be an information session Wednesday, September 17 in the LMS Cafeteria.
If you have any questions, please email me at lmsdrama@littletonps.org

It's a Madhouse is the LMS Spring play.
Synopsis:Best-selling mystery author Byron Pembroke is dead. Soon after, his highly dysfunctional family gathers on a dark and stormy evening for the reading of the will. Each family member has their own reason to believe they’ll receive the bulk of Byron’s estate, but the family soon finds out that the deceased didn’t think much of them. Instead of naming an heir, Byron instead condensed his fortune into one mysterious object and left it to... whoever finds it first!
Before greedy family members are able to put together individual plans of their own, the mansion is overrun by a horde of strangers seeking shelter from the storm. And once the strangers find out about the hidden treasure, they soon join in the hunt.
Who will find the treasure first? Byron’s spoiled, self-serving family members? The bickering trio of ghost hunters? The nosy news team? Or the busload of obnoxious tourists? Loaded with small parts and several small-cast, comical vignettes, this madcap mystery gives every actor a chance to be part of the madness!
Auditions will take place Tuesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 30. Students only need to attend one day of auditions.
Please see the following rehearsal schedule and have any interested students complete the attached Google Form by Monday, January 27.After the form is submitted students will be invited to join the It's A Madhouse Google Classroom where they will find a contract and audition materials.

UPCOMING EVENT:
Dawnland Film Screening and Q&A:
Date - Monday, October 21, 2024
Time - 6:00-8:00 pm
Location - Littleton High School Auditorium, 56 King Street, Littleton, MA
Information - We will host a film screening of the Emmy Award-winning documentary, Dawnland. As written on dawnland.org, “For most of the 20th century, government agents systematically forced Native American children from their homes and placed them with white families. As recently as the 1970’s, one in four Native children nationwide were living in non-Native foster care, adoptive homes, or boarding schools. Many children experienced devastating emotional and physical harm by adults who mistreated them and tried to erase their cultural identity. Now, for the first time, they are being asked to share their stories.”
Immediately following the screening, we will have a Q&A session with gkisedtanamoogk, Commissioner of the Maine-Wabanaki Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and Adam Mazo, Dawnland’s co-director and producer.
Book Talk with Seng Ty:
Date - Wednesday, March 19, 2025
Time - 6:00 pm
Location - Littleton High School Auditorium, 56 King Street, Littleton, MA
Information - Seng Ty is the author of The Years of Zero - Coming of Age Under the Khmer Rouge. This is the first book written from the point of view of a young boy native to Cambodia who survived his country’s reign of terror. In this book, he describes the account of a little boy trying to desperately make sense of the nightmare exploding around him and how he survived alone at just seven years old. The community will be invited to read his book during a community-wide book read in preparation for Seng Ty’s book talk.
We are appreciative to be able to offer these events to our community. It is through funding received by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Genocide Education Grant that we are able to do so. Please join us for either or both of these events this year!

Zero Robotics is a 5-week coding competition for middle school students that is jointly run by MIT, NASA, the International Space Station, and other organizations and companies. Students are tasked with programming robots on board the ISS to solve a challenge. The more efficiently they are able to solve the challenge, the better the score. This summer's challenge was to program the robots on board the ISS to clear away space debris.
More information can be found here: https://zerorobotics.mit.edu/tournaments/40/
The LMS Zero Robotics Team (dubbed the International Space Sharks) consisted of:
Louis Baldanzi
Ethan Cheah
Nathan Laing
Alex Li
Marcus Wong
Ethan Yuen
Jacob Zheng
Despite competing against teams across the country who have been doing this program for many years and are very well resourced, Team International Space Sharks placed 12th out of 59 teams (4th in Massachusetts) for the first round, and for the finals, held on the International Space Station, came in 6th out of 10 teams. All the coaches are extremely proud of the boys and their achievements. All the boys want to do this competition again next summer to see if they can finish higher!
