The Progression & Accountability Council (PAC) will meet on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year to track ongoing student academic progress and monitor remediation activities.
Remediation may be recommended at any point in the program to a student who is identified as deficient in knowledge or skills in any particular area. A student may be required to complete a reassessment action when an exam, project, lab assignment, or evaluation is below any required passing grade or required benchmark as defined in the course syllabus. Each instructor of record will determine the details of reassessment items for their course and the time frame for remediation.
Remediation during the didactic phase may occur within the normal timeframe of a course but may also be conducted outside of regularly scheduled class times (i.e., during school breaks, between semesters) at the discretion of the instructor.
Please see the SCPE Remediation portion of this handbook for the remediation and reassessment policy within the SCPE phase of the program.
