All enrolled Physician Assistant students in the didactic phase must maintain on-time attendance for all scheduled classes, lectures, laboratories, and designated program activities.
Absence Reporting and Form Submission: Students must report all tardies, early departures, and absences in a timely manner by completing and electronically submitting the Didactic Attendance form, attaching supporting documentation for excused absence requests, to the Director of Student Affairs.
Absence Classification and Evaluation: The Director of Student Affairs evaluates all absence rationale and supporting documentation to classify absences as excused or unexcused, with official notification automatically routed to the student and applicable instructional faculty.
Make-Up Work and Missed Assessments: Students may only complete make-up coursework or missed assessments for officially excused absences, following the specific completion timeline and format established by the course instructor.
Course Absence Thresholds: Students must maintain attendance within established limits for each course, as accumulating more than two unexcused absences or more than three excused absences in any single course triggers programmatic intervention.
Students who exceed two unexcused absences or three excused absences in any single course face mandatory referral to the Progression & Accountability Council for formal evaluation and potential disciplinary or corrective action.
