Standard

All pre-matriculated, matriculated, and enrolled Physician Assistant (PA) students must complete and maintain active certifications for mandatory training modules, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Blood-Borne Pathogens (BBP), and life support certifications. Completing these training modules is a vital prerequisite for participating in both didactic coursework and Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPE).

Provisions

1. HIPAA and BBP Training: Complete Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Blood-Borne Pathogens (BBP) training through an approved vendor prior to matriculation and again before the clinical phase. Submit all completion documentation to myRecordTracker by the respective deadlines.

2. Life Support Certifications: Complete Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training during Semester IV of the curriculum. Obtain these active certifications and submit evidence to myRecordTracker prior to beginning the clinical phase of training.

3. Clinical Site Mandates & Onboarding: Complete any additional site-specific educational modules or onboarding training dictated by individual clinical sites. Access the myClinicalExchange platform to review, complete, and submit all assigned onboarding and training modules prior to entering your applicable clinical rotations.

4. Compliance Maintenance: Meet all training deadlines and maintain up-to-date documentation for all required modules and certifications throughout your enrollment in the program.

Enforcement

• Failing to complete mandatory training modules, obtain required certifications, or submit documentation by designated deadlines will result in disciplinary action. This may include restrictions on your ability to matriculate, enroll in courses, continue in the program, advance to the clinical phase, or lead to program dismissal.
