The origins of our co-curricular date back to 1988 when LBCC Political Science and History Instructor Doug Clark traveled to the Netherlands as a Fulbright Scholar. He later returned with a group of students and established the Peace Studies program at LBCC. Over the years Doug led many groups overseas to participate in the International Symposium for Peace, Justice and Human Rights. Travels included the following:
