Interested in developing a lesson plan that connects to CLS? We would be happy to help! Contact us or share your lesson plan with us using the template at the bottom of the page.
Search Our Resources
We our housing all our resources in Google Drive and displaying them through Airtable, which is a handy spreadsheet application that acts like a database! You will find the name of the resource in the first column (alphabetized) and the other columns help categorize the resource. Click on the expand arrow in each cell (blue arrows in the right corner) or expand the whole entry, known as a record, by clicking the blue arrows on the far left, right after the number. Each record has a link to a downloadable resource (or website). Feel free to download and adapt these to suit your needs!
To search, either click on the magnifying icon in the top right-hand corner or select the filter option. Looking for an activity or a lesson plan? Need a video to show in class? Looking for resources specifically connecting to Indigenous knowledge or just physics? Try using the filter feature. See the suggestions for searching and use those words to aid when clicking on the magnifying glass or filtering. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please reach out to us.
Looking for Indigenous Resources? Check out the second sheet in the database below (see the second tab at the top), which shares those resources including Indigenous Ways of Knowing. These resources can be found in both sheets. Check out our Support Links as well!
Connecting CLS to the Classroom?
Just like the electrons in the storage ring, there are billions of ways to connect CLS and the synchrotron to your classroom. We are interested in hearing how you achieved this and would love to share your work with others! Download a copy of our lesson plan template (we have one specifically for sharing Traditional Knowledge) and send us a copy to education@lightsource.ca. Or have a question for a lesson? Send those as well and we would be happy to help out!
