Students will begin their writing journey through an engaging unit of illustrations and art. Learning writing at their own pace will facilitate the love of learning throughout their years here at Liberty Launch Academy. In addition to pencil grip and letter focus, we will navigate a wide variety of writing units. Writing is considered one of the most important of fundamental skills. The formation of letters to words to sentences will provide a solid baseline for future success in communication throughout their school years.
Art plays a pivotal role in Kindergarten, as the students are finding ways to express themselves. Creativity is fostered in a variety of ways to assist self expression. The art projects are structured to embody exploration and discovery of individual talent. The students will also have the opportunity to work as a team to experience a group effort of accomplishment through the art projects.
Our goal is to develop your children's skills so they approach reading with confidence, excitement, and eagerness. We will provide captivating , hands-on, and energetic ways to help children develop a rich vocabulary, self-expression, and reading comprehension—tools they need to become successful readers and lifelong learners. These skills allow children to love books and have the readiness to learn.
In addition to just plain fun- outdoor learning has proven to boost academic performance. Outdoor education will improve self-esteem, conflict resolution, peer relationships, problem solving,, and overall behavior.
Mindfulness for children helps kids gain self-awareness and become more confident. Through meditation, yoga, and breathing techniques, students will have ample time for self reflection and goal setting.
Early elementary math introduces students to the basics and will set a solid foundation. Using interactive songs and manipulatives students will learn to count and recognize numbers, identify shapes and their attributes, add and subtract numbers, and complete patterns.
Social-emotional learning teaches crucial life skills, and can easily be seen as one of the most important topics for our young learners. Students will gain confidence in problem solving, following directions, identifying and regulating emotions, and engaging in social conversation.
