The PSAT NMSQT will be given to Sophomores and Juniors for free on the LHHS campus on the given testing date. All students will automatically be signed up to take the exam, so there is no need to register.
Check out the videos from College Board on how to access your PSAT scores, how to understand your digital PSAT/MNSQT score and how to link your scores to Khan Academy.
Creating a free personalized tutorial through Khan Academy is a great way to use your scores to prepare for the SAT.
High School students who meet published program entry and participation requirements enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) at the specified time in the high school program, usually as juniors. Each year's PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test designated for entry to a particular year's competition. For example, the 2024 PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for entry to the competition for scholarships to be awarded in 2026.
Note: The PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9 will not be considered for entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program. The PSAT/NMSQT is the official route of entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program
We will be administering the following College Board assessments at Liberty Hill High School during the 2025-2026 school year:
PSAT - Thursday, October 16, 2025 (10th-11th grade)
SAT - Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (Juniors)
AP Exams - May 4-15, 2026 (AP students who sign up for exams)
Students with documented disabilities may be eligible for accommodations on College Board exams. Students cannot take the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, or AP Exams with accommodations unless their request for accommodations has been approved by Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).
Students who receive an accommodation in school or have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan do not automatically qualify for the accommodation on College Board exams — they must still be approved by the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities.
If you would like to request to receive accommodations on any of these College Board assessments, please fill out and return the Consent Form for Accommodations Request and return to your counselor.
