At this time we are unable to transfer students into or out of our Chieftain Academy. As the year progresses, we need educational continuity for the students and a consistent placement is the best way to provide that stability.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we have a higher than normal enrollment in our Chieftain Academy digital learning platform this year. We respect families decisions to keep their students at home to help limit the spread of the virus. Due to this influx of students we are also getting many more questions about how to best use the online programs to learn. Here are a few resources we have put together to assist families who may be struggling.
Please look at the parent's guide PDF linked above to help you understand the educational program, how to set up your student's day, and how to manage your new role as helper to your child's education. Remember, reach out to the Chieftain Academy teacher your student is working with if they are still struggling.

These are a huge help for students as they work their way through the lessons. They allow for students to figure out what the most important aspects of the lesson are, and have them as a reference for the future. Everything from key terms, fill in the blanks, and example questions to help further a students understanding. The video to the right shows how a student can access these notes.
The Edmentum company we use for our online learning platform has also put together a set of worksheets designed to support students across grades 9-12 in all areas of study. With 82 pages broken down by subject type take a look over it to see if anything in here might bolster your student's understanding of a topic.
