Set up your home corner as a supermarket/food shop. Use JIT Infant Toolkit “Write” tab to create a simple shopping list using the food word bank or ask students to attempt to type their own words. Once written can children find all of the items of food in the home corner by reading the word themselves or using the reading function within Write?

Go on a local trip, explore shops that are nearby. Take lots of photos of each shop you visit, using “Mix” in JIT Infant Toolkit create a shopping guide for your local area.
