Dinosaurs 🦕

Use JIT Infant Toolkit “Graph” tab to have the children vote for their favourite dinosaur and graph the results using j2e Pictogram, Which dinosaur do most children like the best?

Print out a section of dinosaur images from the dinosaur clipart bank (simply right-click on an image and open in a new window and then save/print). Place in your outside area and ask children to hunt out all of the images. Once all of the children have completed the tally chart, as a class plot the data using JIT Infant Toolkit “Pictogram”.

Use JIT Infant Toolkit “Paint, Animate and Mix” tabs to create a simple fact book about a dinosaur by creating a series of digital drawings/animations.

Use JIT Infant Toolkit “Animate’ and ‘Mix” tab to create a dinosaur fact animation, you could use photos, the dinosaur image bank or get the children to draw their own pictures.

Add a mixture of animals and dinosaurs into the “Branch” tool found in JIT Infant Toolkit. With your students, see if you can sort them (you may want to describe each thing as you go giving strong scaffolding).
