Schedules
They help organize your life
What should I put on my Schedule?
Making a schedule of what you have and making a plan of when you are going to do it is a really helpful tool to organize yourself. With that, you can fill out the times and dates of when you have things. Let's say you have soccer at 4:00, then you add soccer to your schedule. This way, you can make time for your homework. Because I have soccer at 4:00, I have from 2:40-4:00 to do my homework. But I also have to eat a snack. That doesn't take long, so I could write that at 2:50-4:00, I will do my homework.Β The car ride is 15 minutes long so I can change it to say:
8:00-2:40 - school
2:40-2:50 - snack
2:50-3:00 - homework (due XX/XX/XXXX)
3:00-3:45 - rest/get ready for soccer
3:45-4:00: - car ride to soccer
4:00-5:00 - soccerΒ
5:05 - 5:20 - car ride to home
5:30 - 6:30 - dinner
6:35 - 6:50 shower
7:00 - X:XX rest (if you want, otherwise do other things)
X:XX sleep
Where should I put my Schedule?
Now that we know what to put on the schedule, where can/do I access my schedule? So here are some ideas:
Whiteboard - If you have a whiteboard in your room/house, make a schedule there.
Bulletin board - Use post-its to write the activity and time
Google docs - Making a table can be really helpful. If you are on a computer a lot this will really help out
Notebook - Even a notebook specific to making schedules can help too! Just make sure to have a bookmark so you can immediately flip to it

How many copies of this schedule should I have?
You should at least have a color coded schedule in your binder, or put it in the pocket in front. In your Trimester 1 you have a schedule page which you should have a color coded schedule to keep organize since you put assignments dates in the planner. In the beginning of a trimester, teachers handed out schedules including extra ones, so if you want to go the extra mile you can color code the schedule (and you may have to write the schedule as well) and stick it in you locker. If you want to go the EXTRA EXTRA mile you can even make a digital school schedule in your planner. I did all of these things so now I have my schedule for school in my binder, planner, computer and locker. This adds up to 4 copies but 2 copies is fine too.
