Binders

They help organize your classwork & Homework

Welcome!

Welcome to part of the "Organization" tab! Here you will find tips on how to stay organized through some FAQs!

How to make sections for each subject

Make a section for each subject by either using sections with the label or by using folders that you can open. Make sure that these have holes to put in your binder before purchasing them. Put your papers BEHIND the desired section. This will make things a lot easier because you can easily flip to the section and all of your papers will be there. Along with that, try and make the color of the section the same color as the class. If you have red English, make the section red. This will make finding the section easier.

How to keep papers organized

Keeping the papers lined up and straight is important as well. Be sure to put all of your papers IN THE RINGS and not in the folder. Putting it in the folder makes it easier for things to rip and get lost. If the paper does not have holes, borrow a hole puncher from a teacher or friend to make holes. Wrinkling papers also make the binder look messy. In addition to that, don't put random papers in random sections. Doing that can make it hard to find and it will be unorganized.

How to organize if you use TABS

Not all people use the rings in their binders to organize, if you have a binder that can zip up and you can carry it, some of those types of binders have tabs. If you want you can make a tab for each subject, you even sometimes have a few tab slots left! Then for each tab using binder clips put your work organized. For each subject put 2 binder clips in sections I am about to tell.Β

So for my tabs, I do it like this

What do I do with the sleeve in the front?

In most binders, there is a sleeve in the front that can hold everyday US letter-sized paper. Some people put their name on it so if the binder gets lost, they know who to return it to. You can do that but if you want to stay organized, you can also do the following:

This way you can remember things or your schedule is right there, you could be walking in the halls, forget what class is next, and all you have to do is look down and all of your important things are right there!
