THE FUN STORY BEHIND HANUKKAH!

Almost 2,200 years ago, a Jewish temple was in the city of Jerusalem, which was being attacked at the time. A menorah in the temple needed to be burning, but it was discovered there was only enough oil to last one night. The flame lasted eight nights, long enough for more oil to arrive. This 'miracle' was the reason for the creation of an eight-day celebration, now known as Hanukkah (also spelled as Chanukah).

Did you know that 3/14 is a pi day?

Pi (Greek letterΟ€) is an irrational number. Because of that, it goes on forever, and we use it to calculate a circle's circumference (Ο€d or 2Ο€r) and area (Ο€rΒ²). It is the ratio of the circumference and diameter of a circle (Ο€= circumference/diameter). Because it goes on forever, we simply use it as 3.14 and that's why we call March 14th (3/14) pi day!
