Week 32 and 33: May 9-17
We will have review lessons all week, culminating in Jeopardy on Wednesday or Thursday. Your assignment for all of this week and weekend is to make notes of items you still have questions over and things you want reviewed on YOUR review day, which is Tuesday, May 16.
YOUR FINAL is WEDNESDAY, May 17 from 1:45-3:40. Be sure your calculator has fresh batteries.
Week 31: May 2- May 8
Worksheet Review Packet. Assigned for weekend work.
Week 30: April 25-May 1
I'm late posting. Really late. I asked in class on Friday for you to review your monatomic, polyatomic, and acid flash cards. There is no quiz or anything like that. I'm just preparing you and trying to easy your last minute study stress. I hope you remembered and took advantage of this extra light weekend homework.
Also, you were supposed to review the vocabulary terms on your Study Guide for your final. Again, this was helpful advice in preparing for the final.
Week 29: April 18-24
Friday, April 21, and Monday, April 24
Read Chapter 10, Sections 1-3. Come up with two (2) good quiz-type questions from each section to ask in class, for at total of six questions and answers. Your questions should show that you read the material and demonstrate some comprehension of what you read. Questions should be "quiz-worthy", meaning they would make good questions for a quiz. We will use your questions in class for discussion AND you will earn participation points for writing your questions AND having the correct answers to your questions. This is a written assignment, and all questions with their answers must be written in sentence form. You will turn in this paper at the beginning of class on Tuesday.
Week 28: April 11-17
Friday, April 14, and Monday, April 17
I hope you all had a great time at your dance! Your focus this weekend is your lab. Spend time making your lab report excellent. It is worth roughly 3 homework grades!

IF YOU HAVE TIME, complete Formative Analysis for Section 3, #1 and #2. This isn't a required homework, but if you have time, give it a try. We will discuss this in class.

Any review not finished in class on Tuesday will be homework Tuesday night for the review day on Wednesday. Review will be Wednesday with your test on Thursday. Study guides were emailed to you on 4/14.

Tuesday, January 31 - Thursday, February 2
***Dr. Heppner is this week's substitute. I know you will really enjoy the pace and excitement in the classroom. He is an excellent person to teach this week's lessons of naming of compounds. I told him that light homework is acceptable for this week. I would be assigning homework this week for these lessons if I were teaching them. Homework during the week will be assigned in class. Dr. Heppner does not have access to this page to assign homework digitally. If you miss a class, contact a trusted classmate for the assignment.
Friday, February 3 and Monday February 6
Complete the worksheets given in class on January 24. Do not use the internet to complete these worksheets. Using the internet does not give you the practice you need for the test. Bring your questions to class, if you have trouble.
Read 7.3- This should be familiar stuff! We are back to using conversion form in finding mass, moles, number of molecules, and percentage composition, but of more complicated formulas.
Complete Practice problems F (page 226), G (page 227), I(page229-230) and K(page 321-232). Answers to all of these problems are in Appendix E. Do these and check them with the Appendix. Bring your questions to class on Wednesday. Check for completion is a guarantee.

Complete your vocabulary for Chapter 7. Due test day (tentative date: February 22)
Memorize, memorize, memorize flash cards made in class on Thursday. Having a quiz on February 8 is a real probability. Seriously, set aside time to work with your flashcards daily. It is vital to your success on the test, and hence, the necessity of the quiz.
Read 7.1 and 7.2. Use FA #1 and #2 to see what you don't understand when reading so that you are ready for lecture. While I am not assigning FA #1 or FA #2, you should use the FA's be familiar with what you know and what you need to learn after reading the sections. Dr. Heppner may decide to assign this for homework. It is entirely up to him.
Be prepared for light homework from Dr. Heppner this coming week. He does not have access to this page. You will receive your homework, if assigned, in class from Dr. Heppner. He will pass on any grades he takes to me; at the minimum you will receive participation points for homework he assigns, if any.
