What a fantastic start to Year 2 we've had! It was lovely to meet you all during Parents Evening this week, thank you for all of your support so far this year.
We started this half term building our class team. The children worked together to create a group swan to add to our collaborative display. We also wrote some group poetry which was inspired by our visiting poet.
In our English lessons this half term Swans have enjoyed reading texts based on The Great Fire of London. They have researched modern London Landmarks and have enjoyed their Chromebooks to support their learning across the curriculum.
In our History lessons we have been finding out what school was like both within and beyond living memory. On Monday we visited the Rural Life Centre in Farnham and the children experienced what going to school over 150 years ago might have been like. The children also took part in a Victorian wash day workshop and had the chance to explore the centre. Thank you to the parent volunteers who were able to join us for this trip.
