Half term came and went in a flash, didn't it? Now, we're back to the serious business of learning, both inside and outside of the classroom. At the Junior Citizens' Event, at Epsom Downs Racecourse, the children enthusiastically took part in discussions and activities, not least, learning to perform CPR whilst singing Baby Shark at quite a volume! Back at school, we've had a steady stream of visitors with whom many of the children have shared their opinions and ideas, ably demonstrating their oracy skills. Well done! We've also been putting pen to paper, writing setting descriptions for an adventure story, whilst in Maths we've finished volume and moved on to geometry. Our topic in Geography is energy, in Computing we've discussed intellectual property and creator's rights, in Music we're tapping along to Calypso and RE is focusing on Easter and Pentecost. Undoubtedly, the highlight, so far this term, has been World Book Day, as you can probably tell from the photos! In particular, thank you to everyone who magicked up costumes and to those who supported the book swap with donations.
With best wishes,
Ms MacFarlane, Ms Clemson and Mrs Povey
