What a busy few weeks we have had, with an abundance of opportunities!
Thank you to Therfield School who invited us to see their production of Matilda, it was an impressive performance with a talented cast, events like this help transition from Primary to Secondary school, we are hugely grateful.
Thank you too for the Engineers from AtkinsRealis who led a thought provoking Workshop about achieving Net Zero. Our Year 5 pupils were complimented on their deep thinking and are now busily creating competition entries for the National Competition "Nez Zero Superheroes".
Thank you to all families who supported the Home Learning project of building Viking Ships, the standard was extremely high as children brought in wooden, clay and card constructions, with fantastic attention to detail.
Thank you also to many families who supported our Reading Cafes. The children are always super excited to have family members joining in their school learning.
Forest School has been a huge success this term with learning about birds and thier habitats. One lucky group even got to see the majestic Heron fly overhead.
Thank you to Mrs Joseph for all of the outdoor learning, including our "popcorn" campfire.
The children have shown enthusiasm with their new Maths topic of decimals. Already they have impressed us teachers how thy are able to link their knowledge of fractions with their decimal learning. And in English we are publishing reports all about planet Mars and the Mars Rovers. We can't wait to show you some of these quality reports in the next newsletter.
What a day World Book Day has been! Character battles, writing short stories, Online Quizzes and creating brick books. Thank you for all your support in making today a huge success, from costumes to competition spoons and books donated for our School Book Swap. The children have had an incredible day sharing their passion for books and stories.
