During our English lesson, we have been planning and writing our own stories based around a magical flower, just like in A Midsummer's Night Dream. In maths, the children have continued learning about fractions, they have been adding and subtracting, including from one whole. In science, the children have continued to learn about what plants need to grow and have been setting up different experiments to investigate different parts of the plants. In our history lessons, we have been learning about the Roman army and what made it so successful. In our computing lessons, the children have been building and programming their creations to get them to move - we have seen some amazing team work and problem solving.
Over the next few weeks, the children will finish 'A Midsummer's Night Dream' and will explore play scripts, looking at what makes a good play script, what features we can see and then writing their own. In maths, the children will finish their fractions work, and move onto shape, where they will investigate parallel and perpendicular lines, as well as the features of 2D and 3D shapes. In science, we will explore the role of a flower in the life cycle and in history, we will visit Richborough Roman Fort and explore how the Romans changed modern Britain.
