In Maths, we have been learning about ‘Capacity’. We have been learning about standard and non standard units of measurement. We used a range of non standard units to see how many were needed to fill a one litre jug. In Writing, we have been looking at features of a comparative character description on our main character ‘the old man’ from our Power of Reading text ‘Tin Forest’. We then wrote our own comparative character description using a range of expanded noun phrases and comparative conjunctions. In Science, we have been learning about the conditions needed for a seed to grow. We are carrying out an experiment comparing a plant with no water, a plant with no sunlight and a plant with all normal conditions. In History, we have been learning about how William the Conqueror became King of England. We looked at a range of sources and wrote down the main events. In Financial Education we have been learning about how money has changed over time.
