This week's learning...

During our English lessons, year 3 completed thier elephant poems, they worked really well to ensure that there was a clar structure and great vocabulary. We have also been reading a little more of the story and story mapping the events so far. In maths, we completed our work on place value and identiying greater and smaller numbers and have moved onto addition and subtraction where regroouping is not needed. In our science lessons, we continued our learning about healthy eating and identified how much sugar can be found in different drinks. During our art lessons, we have been using charcoal to create gestural drawings and exploring shapes and lines. 

Upcoming learning...

Next week during our English lessons we will be exploring diary entries and using this to help us write our own diary entries in the role of Akimbo. In maths, we will continue with our addition and subtraction lessons but will be moving onto regrouping.  During our science lessons we will be learning about vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as the human skeleton. During our geography lessons we will continue to learn about Africa by exploring some African tribes. Our art lessons will see us producing our final pieces using charcoal and symmetry.
