This week's learning...

Over the last week in maths Year 2 have been working on adding 1’s & 10’s to 2 digit numbers and adding 2 digits and 2 digits together using their place value knowledge. In English, we have been writing crayon riddles based on our Power of Reading Text ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’. We role played the different crayons from the story and thought about different clues we could use in our riddles. In Geography we have been busy researching facts about our chosen continent, Asia and created an informative poster. In Science, we carried out an experiment to find out what happens to the shapes of solid objects made from some materials when they are heated and cooled. In Art, we went on a nature walk around the school and collected different leaves and twigs. We then completed continuous line drawings of the things we saw in our sketchbooks.
