This week's learning.....

This week in English we started our story of 'Teddy Bear's Picnic'. We role played the story and then sequenced the pictures to tell the story. We have also written an invitation to our teddies to invite them to our picnic next week. In Maths, we have been counting forwards and backwards to 10 and learned how to use a tens frame to represent a number of objects. In our wider curriculum, we have looked at naming body parts in Science, as well as finding out facts about England through our teddy travels topic in Geography.

Upcoming learning.....

Our topic for the half term is Teddy Travels

Maths - We will be looking at the number zero and using the language more and fewer to compare quantities.

English - We are writing a list of what we need for a picnic, labelling a bear and following instructions to make a sandwich for our picnic.

Science - We will be starting our work on senses, by looking at our sense of sight and sense of hearing.

Geography - We will be continuing our Teddy travels topic and begin learning about Scotland.

Art - We will be learning how to draw a spiral using different mediums.
