This week we have been learning:
Maths - we have been investigating fractions by finding halves, thirds and quarters of shapes as well as adding fractions together to make a whole.Â
Writing - we have been learning about exclamation and question sentences and finding the features of persuasive letters so we can write our own letters about how we can be more environmentaly friendly in school.
History - we have been learning who Amelia Earhart was and why she was significant within the world of flying.
Science - we have looked at different materials and started testing whether they bend, twist or stretch.
Computing - we have been using LEGO coding to create and then code a snow mobile that will help us investigate the melting ice at the north and south pole. Check out the pictures below!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - we will be using manipulatives to find fractions of amounts - for example 1/4 of 16 and 2/3 of 18.
Writing - we will be writing letters to Mr Hudson about how we can be a more environmentally friendly school to help stop the polar ice melting.
History - we have been learning why the moon landing was a significant event.
Science - we will be investigating how we can make different paper stronger by twisting and folding.
