This week has been a busy and productive one for Year 4! The children have demonstrated great initiative in planning their own newsletter reports, showing excellent teamwork and organisational skills. In maths, they have been diligently exploring the concepts of area and perimeter of various shapes, applying their knowledge with increasing confidence. Our history lessons transported us to the fascinating world of the Maya civilization, where the children discovered their ingenious inventions and made connections to how some of these still influence our lives today. Finally, our budding engineers and programmers truly immersed themselves in computing, designing exciting virtual rides and coding the algorithms to bring them to life. We are so impressed with their engagement and hard work across all subjects!
Over the next two weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - Describing Positions on a 2 Dimensional Grid
Writing - Fire Maker's Daughter - Writing a newspaper article with the purpose to inform
History - Exploring Maya Remains
Science - Animals: Classification and Changing Habitats - Recognising the Impact of Natural Disasters on Habitats
