YEAR 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another amazing fortnight in Year 2!

Writing:

In Writing, we explored pirate character descriptions using the text 'How I Became a Pirate'. We focused on using interesting vocabulary to bring our characters to life. We used our imaginations to create unique personalities and appearances.

Maths:

We continued our work on mass this week, looking at kilograms and grams. We investigated different weights, comparing objects and developing our understanding of these units of measure.

Science:

Our budding scientists completed an experiment to see whether woodlice prefer dry or wet locations. After careful observation and investigation, we concluded that woodlice love damp places!

D.T.:

We explored delicious and healthy food combinations to create our own balanced wraps. We then had a tasting session and rated our creations, thinking about what we liked best and how we could make them even better next time.
