Year 1
Year 1
The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of festive fun in Year One!
Last Friday, we braved the weather and turned the playground into a reindeer race by supporting the Rudolph Run charity event! Our Year One superstars ran and trotted with incredible enthusiasm, showing amazing determination. The antlers need some negotiation but all in all, it was a lot of fun!
We are sure that you'll agree that Monday's Christmas concert was simply magical! The children's voices filled the hall with beautiful Christmas songs, and our star narrators captivated the audience with their confident storytelling. We are bursting with pride!
In maths, we've been busy exploring the wonderful world of shapes and patterns. The children have loved using colourful shape tiles to create their own amazing designs – their creativity knows no bounds!
In science the children have enjoyed experiments testing for waterproof and absorbent materials. They became quite skilled at using the pipettes to control the flow of water as they tested a variety of materials!
And what better way to round off the term than with a fantastic pantomime! The children enjoyed every minute and were fantastic audience participants!
Can we take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
