NURSERY
NURSERY
What an incredible couple of weeks we've had in Nursery! The Christmas spirit has been shining brighter than ever, and the children have been busy little elves creating the most wonderful festive crafts.
From our giant collaborative bauble that sparkles with every child's unique touch, to the heartfelt Christmas cards they crafted with love, the classroom is overflowing with festive cheer. We've also been busy making beautiful wreaths and adorable fingerprint string lights – keep an eye out for those coming home soon!
The excitement reached fever pitch with our "Rudolf Run" last week. The children had so much fun dashing around the playground, and it was wonderful to see so many of you cheering them on!
And who could forget our delicious Christmas lunch? The children (and staff!) tucked into a festive feast and enjoyed every yummy bite.
To top it all off, we had a fantastic time watching the pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children were captivated by the performance, and their laughter filled the room.
It's been a joy to watch the children embrace the magic of Christmas, and we're sending warm wishes to all of our families for a happy and healthy Christmas.
See you in 2025!
RECEPTION
A Festive Fortnight of Learning and Fun!
Over the past two weeks, we have had a blast immersing ourselves in the world of Christmas crafting and fun! From creating our own 2D shape snowmen in maths to decorating our classroom Christmas tree with pompoms, glitter, and colorful paper, the festive spirit has been shining brightly.
Our math lessons have focused on revising 2D shapes, and the children have been busy designing and constructing their own unique snowmen using these shapes. We've also been exploring the concept of representation by decorating Christmas trees with numbered ornaments.
Imaginative play has reached new heights with our outdoor Santa's Grotto! The children have loved taking on the roles of Santa, writing letters, and wrapping presents. And of course, we can't forget our wonderful Christmas concert performance for our parents!
We also had great fun strengthening our fine motor skills by creating our own little snowmen, complete with all the necessary accessories.
We embraced the festive spirit by wearing our Christmas jumpers for a fun Christmas party to celebrate the end of term and enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner with turkey, chicken and all the trimmings.
Thanks to our amazing PTFA, we've enjoyed a week of exciting activities. We started with a heart-pumping Rudolph Run around the playground, followed by a shopping spree at the Exclusive Elfridges. To top it all off, we had a fantastic morning enjoying a Christmas panto performance right here at school!
As we reach the end of the autumn term, we wish you all a lovely winter holiday. We hope you have a chance to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. We look forward to seeing you back in the new year!
