Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another busy and exciting week in Year 2.
Writing:
In Writing, we have been busy chefs, crafting our very own stew recipes. Now, we are turning our attention to character descriptions, focusing on using alliteration to bring our characters to life.
Maths:
We have finished our work on metres and centimetres and are now diving into the world of mass. We will be weighing and measuring all sorts of objects to develop our understanding of grams and kilograms.
History:
We had a wonderful time experiencing a Victorian school day with the help of DivergentDrama - a fantastic drama company. The children really enjoyed dressing up, learning about schools in the past and comparing them to our school today.
D.T.:
We have been exploring delicious and healthy food combinations to create balanced wraps. From crunchy vegetables to tasty fillings, we've learned how to make wraps that are good for us and yummy too!
Science:
This week we've been budding scientists! We've planned an exciting experiment to explore whether minibeasts prefer dry or wet locations. We cannot wait to get investigating and see what we discover!
