Jade had a fantastic trip to the Ecology Center on Monday 9th October. It all started with a very enjoyable picnic We loved exploring with our senses and thoroughly enjoyed the activities.Â
In art, we have had great fun exploring drawing with a continuous line. We had a go at observational drawings but still had to use a continuous line!
We have participated in Mellow Yellow Day and a live assembly from Lyfta for biodiversity.
On National Poetry Day, both classes created their own nature poems that linked to this year's theme: Refuge.
For our final science lesson on our senses, we had the smelly pots out! We sniffed some everyday smells and had to guess what they were. We smelt coffee, orange, chocolate. BBQ sauce, washing-up liquid and vinegar.
It's hard to believe that we have already finished our first half term in Year One. The children have coped with the transition so well and have definitely worked their socks off! We hope you all have a good break .
