January 2023: Off to a great start - we have 107 students from all 4 LU UG colleges (Engineering, A&S, Business, and College of Health).

September 2022: WE'RE BAAACK! Coffee and Cosmetics will be running SPRING 2023! More details to come soon.

December 2021: That's a wrap! This class will likely run Spring 2023 - contact Professor Gilchrist with inquiries of how to get involved until then.

December 2021: Students present their cosmetics projects (including several groups who entered a lip-balm design competition) in the Fairchild-Martindale Library

October 2021: Students present their coffee projects in the Fairchild-Martindale Library next to The Grind

October 2021: Branden Marty, CEO of Veteran Roasters, talks with the students about his experience and his company's operations.

September 2021: Students tour The Grind, a campus coffee shop to learn about their operations.

August 2021: We are up and running again, this time in person.

May 2021: Students gave their cosmetics final presentations - the top ones will be posted. Quite impressive!!!

April 2021: Dr. Xue Li from International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. visited us to discuss how encapsulation is used as additives in cosmetics and other consumer products.

April 2021: Crowdfunding ends with Giving Day - and a total of $1765 raised!!! Great job Megan and Veronica!

April 2021: Our Mock classes, hosted by Lehigh Admissions, had 50+ visitors - great to see the next generation of Lehigh Students!

March 2021: Our visitor/expert Dr. William Hartt from P&G came to class to talk about the importance of controlling rheology in consumer product processes.

March 2021: Our application to launch a crowdfunding campaign to support a Coffee and Cosmetics Laboratory is accepted.

February 2021: 27 students ranging from 1st to 4th year and 2 high school students are the first to enroll.

January 2021: 7 UG ATs are signed up to help design and teach this course.

December 2020: This website is launched.

Fall 2020: This course is given support by the ChBE faculty and given approval to run in Spring 2021.

Summer 2020: The UG team is formed and proposes a new course to attract students and connect chemical engineering to real-world issues and common-place applications.
