Get ready to serve up some fun! The Bayshore Tennis Team is open to 5th–7th grade students who want to learn the fundamentals of tennis, build their skills, and enjoy friendly competition in a positive, supportive environment.
Practices:
Students will meet after school to learn basic strokes, scoring, court etiquette, and teamwork through drills, games, and match play. The Tennis Team focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, and having fun while staying active! We will not be a competing sport against other schools this year as we are still growing as a middle school as well as under construction and do not currently have a tennis court.Â
What to Bring:
Tennis racquet (if you have one — a few extras will be available)
Athletic clothing and tennis shoes
Water bottle
Coach: Mrs. Chelsea Chase Haun (contact chelseaac@leeschools.net)
Being part of the Bayshore Tennis Team means showing commitment, respect, and good sportsmanship!
Attendance: Be at all practices unless you are sick or have an emergency. Please let Mrs. Haun know if you’ll be absent.
School First: Keep up good grades, effort, and behavior in school to remain eligible for the team.
Respect: Be kind and courteous to teammates, coaches, and opponents — on and off the court.
Dedication: Always try your best, encourage others, and come ready to learn and improve.
Let’s make this a great tennis season full of teamwork, growth, and Bayshore pride! 🎾
Practice dates are listed on the calendar that will be sent home on the first day of practice and are also posted below on this site. Our goal is to hold practice most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00–3:15pm PM starting March 24th and running through Mid-April.Â
Please ensure students are picked up promptly in the front car loop near the main entrance. If any changes to the schedule occur or a practice is canceled, families will be notified in a timely manner.
We are also exploring the possibility of participating in a travel meet at a local tennis facility. If this opportunity becomes available, students will need to provide their own transportation.
