Messages
Messages is a new Seesaw feature that allows teachers to have ongoing communication with families. Depending on the settings Admin has set, teachers can send individual messages to people or a custom group connected to the school. Messages can be used in several ways, such as
Announcements with newsletters and reminders
Group discussion between student, family, and teacher to outline student progress
Facilitate student group discussion or group work
Collaboration and planning with grade-level teacher teams
Note: Students using shared devices will not have access to Messages, they will need 1:1 access. Families can still access communication with the teacher through Messages.
What can students do in Messages?
Send their teacher a direct message to ask questions
Participate in group discussions prompted by the teacher
Engage in discussions between families and the teacher.
