Senior Photos & Yearbook Ads

Seniors must make their own appointment either at the PhotoTexas studio or on one of the offered on-campus dates. A sign up will be posted the week before those dates, starting with Oct. 20 and again for Nov. 30-Dec. 4. 

ALL PHOTOS MUST BE TAKEN BY WINTER BREAK to be included in the yearbook. Visit the Student Media website for more information about pictures and the yearbook.

Parents can now purchase the 2027 yearbook and a senior shoutout for their upcoming graduate at Jostens.com. The early order deadline with the cheapest price for senior shoutout space is Sept. 25. After that, the price for a senior ad increases until the final deadline in November. The yearbook price also increases throughout the year to encourage purchasing and finalize order estimates. Cap & Gown, CLass Rings, & REgalia

All seniors are required to have a cap, gown, and tassel to participate in graduation ceremonies. (Links to be posted as soon as available) Bundled packages and additional class of 2026 products can be found at the Josten's VHS store. (Link for cap & gown only) The deadline to order without late fee is January 31, 2027!

Graduation regalia identifying various honors are distributed in different ways as we near graduation. A document will be posted in the spring regarding honors and contacts. 

FAFSA Graduation Requirement

It is a graduation requirement to complete the FAFSA (or the TASFA or sign an opt-out form). To complete this graduation requirement, you will upload your document to the VHS FAFSA Form (the link to this form will be in the Senior Google Classroom and in your Senior Conference Form). 

The 2026-27 FAFSA form will open early October for the Class of 2027. To get the latest information about the FAFSA, visit the FAFSA toolkit website.

Know Your Post VHS plans?

We want to know! We would like to add you to our "Going Places" wall at the front of the school.

• Log into your Naviance account (access through Leander LaunchPad)

• Navigate to "Colleges I'm Applying To"

• Add your school or military branch and click on the edit icon and update your "Result" to "Accepted"

• Once you know where you're committing, choose it from the drop-down of "College I'm Attending"

• If you are planning to head straight to the workforce after VHS graduation or another pathway, come let Ms. Kendall know so she can add you & your company/pathway to the "Going Places" wall 

Preparing for the transition

Scholarships and Enrichment Opportunities. Scholarship opportunities are posted in Naviance & Class of 2027 Google Classroom, which are continually updated with new scholarship opportunities as they are made known to the counseling team. Continue to check those out & apply! As well, Leander ISD publishes enrichment opportunities (e.g. internships, camps, apprenticeships) in Naviance. Navigate to "Colleges" > "Enrichment" to look for opportunities.

Register for ACC. Austin Community College is a great place to learn something new, acquire a skill, or obtain transfer credit! Seniors should plan to apply (if new to ACC) or transition to a traditional student (if a dual credit student) in the spring if interested in taking summer or fall classes! More details and steps can be found here. And NEW! ACC will be tuition-free for 3 years for the class of 2027. Learn more here and come get support with enrollment & registration with representatives from ACC in March, April, and May!

Pathway Support. We support students pursuing all pathways after VHS with resources for planning & preparing for a gap year, military, internships/apprenticeships, technical/trade schools, community college, college/university, and direct to workforce. Stop by the College & Career Center or come to senior workdays during PIT most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Sign up in the PIT portal.
