Senior portraits are taken at a different time than our school photos for grades 9-11.
Portraits need to be taken first semester to be included in the yearbook

Option 2: Sign up to take the portrait on campus- October 21 (additional tentative dates: Dec 1-5, Dec 10), spots limited.

The 2026 Vandegrift yearbook went on sale in August! Last day to purchase a yearbook for a guaranteed copy is May 1. More details can be found on our Vandegrift Student Media Buy a Yearbook page
If you would like a Class of 2026 yard sign, there is still time to order! You must order by the deadline- December 11- through this link.
All seniors are required to have a cap, gown, and tassel to participate in graduation ceremonies. Bundled packages and additional class of 2026 products can be found at the Josten's VHS store. (Link for cap & gown only) The deadline to order without late fee is January 31, 2026!
Graduation regalia identifying various honors are distributed in different ways as we near graduation. A document will be posted in the spring regarding honors and contacts.
It is a graduation requirement to complete the FAFSA (or the TASFA or sign an opt-out form). To complete this graduation requirement, upload your document to the VHS FAFSA Form (the link to this form is in the Senior Google Classroom and in your Senior Conference Form).

If you are looking for more information about college financial planning, presentations are being hosted in our community through A+ College Planning. The October workshop is on Wednesday, October 15 at 6pm at Cedar Park High School Lecture Hall. This session will be FAFSA-focused and in collaboration with Austin Community College.

Log into your Naviance account (access through Leander LaunchPad)
Navigate to "Colleges I'm Applying To"
Add your school or military branch and click on the edit icon and update your "Result" to "Accepted"
Once you know where you're committing, choose it from the drop-down of "College I'm Attending"
If you are planning head straight to the workforce after VHS graduation, come let Ms. Kendall know so she can add you & your company to the "Going Places" wall
Scholarships and Enrichment Opportunities. Scholarship opportunities are posted in Naviance, which is continually updated with new scholarship opportunities as they are made known to the counseling team. Continue to check those out & apply! As well, Leander ISD publishes enrichment opportunities (e.g. internships, camps, apprenticeships) in Naviance. Navigate to "Colleges" > "Enrichment" to look for opportunities.
Register for ACC. Austin Community College is a great place to learn something new, acquire a skill, or obtain transfer credit! Seniors should plan to apply (if new to ACC) or transition to a traditional student (if a dual credit student) in the spring if interested in taking summer or fall classes! More details and steps can be found here. And NEW! ACC will be tuition-free for 3 years for the class of 2026. Learn more here and come get support registering with representatives from ACC in March, April, and May!
Pathway Support. We support students pursuing all pathways after VHS with resources for planning & preparing for a gap year, military, internships/apprenticeships, technical/trade schools, community college, college/university, and direct to workforce. Stop by the College & Career Center or come to senior workdays during PIT most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Sign up in the PIT portal.
