If you attended an LISD elementary school, they would love for you to join them for a celebration before graduation! Our feeder pattern walks are scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th at 8:00am. If you attended elsewhere, check out this list.
*Please wear a shirt representing your next steps (college t-shirt or technical career.)
*Please also make a sign with your name and what college you plan to attend in the fall or what career field you will join after graduation.
The following schools are asking that you pre-register so that they can have your badge ready.
If you are attending the River Ridge Elementary walk, please complete this RRE Google Form attached if your parents are planning to attend too (Seniors do not need to complete the form if parents are not attending)
If you are attending the Steiner Ranch Elementary walk, please complete the SRE Google Form. If you have questions about the walk at SRE, contact deana.legassick@leanderisd.org or call the Office at 512-570-5700. Enter the main driveway, park, and enter through the front door. Students will gather in the SRE cafeteria prior to the walk.
(Other pre-registration forms may be added closer to the date, please check back!)
All seniors are required to have a cap, gown, and tassel to participate in graduation ceremonies. Bundled packages and additional class of 2026 products can be found at the Josten's VHS store. (Link for cap & gown only) The deadline to order without late fee is January 31, 2026!
Graduation regalia identifying various honors are distributed in different ways as we near graduation. A document will be posted in the spring regarding honors and contacts.
It is a graduation requirement to complete the FAFSA (or the TASFA or sign an opt-out form). To complete this graduation requirement, upload your document to the VHS FAFSA Form (the link to this form is in the Senior Google Classroom and in your Senior Conference Form).
The 2025-26 FAFSA form is open now for the Class of 2026. To get the latest information about the FAFSA, visit the FAFSA toolkit website.
If you are looking for more information about college financial planning, presentations are being hosted in our community through A+ College Planning. The October workshop is on Wednesday, October 15 at 6pm at Cedar Park High School Lecture Hall. This session will be FAFSA-focused and in collaboration with Austin Community College.
We want to know! We would like to add you to our "Going Places" wall at the front of the school.
Log into your Naviance account (access through Leander LaunchPad)
Navigate to "Colleges I'm Applying To"
Add your school or military branch and click on the edit icon and update your "Result" to "Accepted"
Once you know where you're committing, choose it from the drop-down of "College I'm Attending"
If you are planning to head straight to the workforce after VHS graduation or another pathway, come let Ms. Kendall know so she can add you & your company/pathway to the "Going Places" wall
Scholarships and Enrichment Opportunities. Scholarship opportunities are posted in Naviance & Class of 2026 Google Classroom, which are continually updated with new scholarship opportunities as they are made known to the counseling team. Continue to check those out & apply! As well, Leander ISD publishes enrichment opportunities (e.g. internships, camps, apprenticeships) in Naviance. Navigate to "Colleges" > "Enrichment" to look for opportunities.
Register for ACC. Austin Community College is a great place to learn something new, acquire a skill, or obtain transfer credit! Seniors should plan to apply (if new to ACC) or transition to a traditional student (if a dual credit student) in the spring if interested in taking summer or fall classes! More details and steps can be found here. And NEW! ACC will be tuition-free for 3 years for the class of 2026. Learn more here and come get support with enrollment & registration with representatives from ACC in March, April, and May!
Pathway Support. We support students pursuing all pathways after VHS with resources for planning & preparing for a gap year, military, internships/apprenticeships, technical/trade schools, community college, college/university, and direct to workforce. Stop by the College & Career Center or come to senior workdays during PIT most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Sign up in the PIT portal.
