Volunteer
Volunteering can be a great way to explore possible careers and get hands-on experience. Try these resources to find an opportunity:
Volunteer Match - find a cause you're interested in supporting
KUT: Get Involved - local organizations who are always looking for volunteers
Ronald McDonald House Charities Volunteer Program
Must be 16 years or older
Complete up to 80 community service hours (weekly 3 hour shift for a minimum of 6 months)
Volunteer inside local hospitals - great for those interested in medical careers
Enrichment Programs
To view enrichment opportunities, students should log in to Naviance through the Leander Launchpad > Go to Colleges > Enrichment Programs.
Many colleges, businesses, and organizations offer enrichment programs in the summer for students to explore future careers. This is not an exhaustive list, nor do we formally endorse any of these options. A Google search with critical key words is a fabulous way to seek out more opportunities!
