Who are our HEROES?

Caring adults who have a Heart for Encouraging, Respect, Optimism, Enthusiasm, and Self-confidence with our students while providing guidance and support to cultivate personal, social, and academic development.

How can I become a HEROES mentor?

1. Complete/Update your LISD volunteer application and be sure to select the HEROES interest area.

2. Once approved, click here to sign up for the online HEROES mentor training. (Note: You must be currently approved to view and sign up for this training.)

What will I do as a mentor?

* Meet with a student once a week or every other week for 30 minutes.

* During that time find out his/her interests and base your activities    on his/her interests.

* Activities can consist of coloring, reading, drawing, playing a board game, catching up on homework, having lunch together, . .The options are endless!
