4th & 5th Grade Puberty Curriculum

Leander ISD 4th and 5th grade students will study an important lesson on the early stages of puberty which some students may be beginning to experience.

Students will watch the following videos during Specials on March 8th. Please contact the school at 512-570-5617 to view specific grade level/gender videos.

• Fourth Grade Girls “Just Around the Corner for Girls”

• Fourth Grade Boys “Just Around the Corner for Boys”

• Fifth Grade Girls   “Growing Up! For Girls”   

• Fifth Grade Boys-“Growing Up! For Boys”

The videos review the following topics:

• Reproductive systems

• Health and nutrition

• Hygiene and grooming

• Self esteem

• Physical changes

• Emotional changes

Parents/Guardians must Opt-In their child for this lesson by completing the Opt-In Form by Monday, March 4th.
