As part of ongoing efforts to partner with the #1LISD community, students will be provided lessons on the dangers of substance on the following dates:
6th Grade: May, 2025 during physical activity classes. (Exact date to be determined)
7th Grade: May 13 & 14, 2025 during social studies classes.
8th grade: April 29, 2025 during science classes.
With the passage of HB 3908, each school district shall annually provide research-based instruction related to fentanyl abuse prevention and drug poisoning awareness to students in grades 6 through 12. These lessons incorporate this information. In addition to prevention education, students will also be taught skills to avoid substance use.
