Because the Google apps are so dependent on the chrome browser, and I think it's a pain to constantly sign in and out of my own browser, I recommend creating a separate account for each scholar on personally owned devices. There are two good ways to accomplish this - desktop shortcuts are easy to see and maintain and separate user logins are a little harder to maintain.
This method would place shortcuts on your desktop for your scholar's google / chrome account and your own, if you wish, so that you can easily switch between accounts. This is also nice for folks who are working from home on personal devices, to keep your different lives separate.

This separate user account would be used only for school work, and the scholar could sign out whenever they finish (promoting good habits both for separation of work and play and for signing out when finished). I would create the account so that the username is the student ID number and the password is the same as the LCPS Go password. This would also emulate the way that scholars sign in at school. If you do this, make sure the account does not have administrator privileges.

Google and the Chrome browser work together to give your scholar access to many of the apps that they will use for distance learning. If you don't have the Chrome browser, you can download it from Google's Chrome website.
For the least frustrating distance learning experience, the same user should be logged in to chrome and google. Your scholar's google (and chrome) account information follows:
username: studentID@lcps.org (1234567@lcps.org)
password: same as the LCPS Go password
LCPS Tech Support can reset a forgotten password. You can call them between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday at 571-252-2112.
If you haven't already, set up the password recovery feature in LCPS Go.
This is where your scholar can find assignments and materials. Each class covers different content areas.

Check out this video about logging in to google classroom for the first time, with thanks to Rosa Lee Carter Elementary's fabulous IFT, Ms. Bradley.
