UChicago is a liberal arts college nestled within a larger research institution. We were home to the first self-sustaining nuclear reaction as part of the Manhattan Project, the first Heisman Trophy, and the first sociology department. We have a rich history of making history because UChicago is a place where people love to learn! We also have $1 milkshakes on Wednesdays :)
