Future Film Makers was a collaborative training programme between the Local Creative Youth Partnership and the film industry in the Mid-West. The first phase of this programme offered 18 to 25 year olds an introduction to camera work, SFX make-up, building props and an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of working on a film or TV set. Participants also paid a visit to the set of the Ros na Rún television series. The second phase of this training programme was delivered by the Foundation film production company where a more in-depth training was delivered. Further work experience for Future Film Makers trainees came in the form of work experience on the independent film Paddy, produced by Sidhe Film Company with support from Creative Ireland and Clare Arts Office.
