Local Creative Youth Partnership Launches Strategic Plan & Creative Youth Festival – A Dual Celebration of Empowering Youth Through Creativity, Education, and Well being.
The Local Creative Youth Partnership is thrilled to announce the combined launch of its new Strategic Plan for 2025-2027 alongside the highly anticipated Call & Response Creative Youth Festival. The dual event, taking place on April 4th with the Festival running until April 6th, marks a major milestone in the Partnership’s commitment to empowering young people through creativity, education, and wellbeing.
This significant occasion celebrates both the launch of the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan and the annual Call & Response Creative Youth Festival, creating a powerful synergy that showcases the Partnership’s mission to place youth-led creativity at the heart of community life.
The Strategic Plan 2025-2027 outlines a bold roadmap for the next three years, centred on three core pillars: Creativity, Education, and Wellbeing. With this plan, the Partnership seeks to create more opportunities for young people to express themselves, support their educational journeys, and prioritize their mental and emotional wellbeing. Through collaboration with local schools, community organizations, creative practitioners, and youth services, the Partnership aims to ensure that all young people—regardless of background—have access to transformative creative experiences.
Zara Starr Madden, Coordinator of the Local Creative Youth Partnership, shared her enthusiasm for the plan:
“We’re incredibly excited to launch this new strategic plan, which reflects our deep commitment to nurturing the creative potential of young people. Creativity is a fundamental human right and an essential tool for personal growth, education, and community engagement. It is human nature and we express this with, by and for our communities. This plan sets out an ambitious path to increase access to high-quality creative opportunities, while also supporting youth-led initiatives and fostering a culture of collaboration.”
Key Focus Areas of the Strategic Plan 2025-2027:
Creativity: Expanding access to workshops, collaborations with professional artists, and hands-on experiences in areas such as visual arts, music, technology, and more.
Education: Providing complementary out-of-school activities that enhance formal education and equip young people with the skills and knowledge to pursue their creative passions.
Wellbeing: Promoting mental and emotional well being through creative mindfulness and activities that support resilience, self-expression, and confidence.

The Call & Response Creative Youth Festival takes centre stage as a tangible celebration of the Partnership's vision for youth creativity and community engagement. Designed by young people themselves, the festival showcases a wide array of creative disciplines, including visual and performing arts, digital media, creative mindfulness, fashion, technology, and more. This exciting festival will feature workshops, performances, interactive installations, and exhibitions that allow young people to express their creativity, learn new skills, and connect with others in the community.
